Carpet Trade - Growth and Expansion

Church Street
This street was the sole element of the town to be regarded by Nikolaus Pevsner in his Buildings of England as possessing any merit – though the enthusiasm for industrial architecture which has seen buildings of that character listed in the town does post-date him.
As well as being the route for the town to the Church it was also once part of the industrial bustle of Kidderminster though latterly has been colonised by the professional business community. Very many of the buildings are now listed eg numbers 2,3 8, 9,10,11,12,25, 27, 28, 29 and 30.
